Harmonised Training Package (HTP) Technical Review
Feedback has been collated on the use of the Harmonised Training Package (21 modules), produced by the Nutrition Cluster. This is being used to inform a technical update led by NutritionWorks/ENN, in collaboration with Cluster members and technical experts, funded by the US Office for Disaster Assistance (OFDA).
Priority modules to update in 2010 are:
Module 4 &14: Micronutrients
Modules 2 & 21: Agency mandates and standards/accountability
Module 6: Measuring Malnutrition: Individual Assessment
Module 7: Measuring Malnutrition: Population Assessment
Module 9: Food Security Assessment and the link to Nutrition
Module 12: Supplementary Feeding
Module 13: Therapeutic Feeding
Module 15: Health Interventions
Module 16: Livelihoods interventions
Module 17: Infant and Young Child Feeding
We are currently identifying contributing authors to update these modules. If you are interested or have suggestions, contact Carmel Dolan.
If you have materials you have produced based on the HTP modules, more detailed comments to share, or new case study material, you can upload these to the UN Standing Committee on Nutrition (SCN) facility.
The editorial team are especially keen to locate new case study material from Latin America and the Carribean, Asia and the Middle East.
