The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge and skills for health workers who work with caregivers of young children from 6 to 24 months of age. It is designed for health workers in primary health care services in the community or attached to hospital health services (community health nurses, paediatric nurses, health care assistants, community workers, supervisors, counsellors and doctors). Although it is in draft and has been used to make the Integrated course comprising of breastfeeding, HIV and complementary feeding (available in this resource library see: HIV/IYCF: Infant and young child feediing counselling: An integrated course. TRAINING), the actual complementary feeding training course has not yet been completed and disseminated.
