Checklist and guidance for programme formulation
FAO has released a step-by-step approach to situation appraisal and programme design for nutrition-sensitive agriculture. The document (51 pages) expands on the 10 Key Recommendations for Improving Nutrition through Agriculture previously established through the FAO, the Agriculture-to-Nutrition Community of Practice (Ag2Nut), and others. Stakeholder input as well as results of field testing were included prior to publication, and used to refine the suggested questions, information sources, and tips. Among the many agriculture-nutrition resources available, this stands out for its emphasis on operational questions and considerations, marking an important progression in getting practical tools in the hands of programme planners?
