IYCF materials for health and community workers

Author: Sibson V
Resource type: Training

Training material personally adapated and used over time in Darfur between 2004 and 2007 (with GOAL, MSFH and Concern). Made up using a Zimbabwean/Shona nutrition education booklet, the Savage King and Burgess book Nutrition in Developing Countries and Linkages/FAQ factsheets mainly. CRS were using home made picture cards in West Darfur in 2007 in March and the messages on these were taken in to account too. The training materials were translated for nutrition workers and nutrition volunteers and discussed in a training session. Messaging to beneficiary carers was then verbal in the course of home visits of CTC (SFP and OTP) children and at distribution sites on SFP/OTP days
