By ENN on 6 November 2017

In this video, Uduak Igbeka the SUN Business Network (SBN) coordinator of Nigeria speaks about her experience with the network. Uduak has an academic background in agricultural economics and has been with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) for four years, she has played a coordinating role with the SBN Nigeria for approximately 1.5 years.

Created in 2016, the Nigerian SBN has made significant progress in engaging with businesses around supporting the Nigerian government’s national nutrition goals. She explains how the SBN has worked to identify and raise awareness of nutrition issues amongst the private sector, and has supported business through leveraging technical or financial support. Uduak explains the importance of aligning the SBN objectives with government priorities – that it is crucial that businesses and SBN objectives are aligned with the national nutrition objectives in order to create synergy and coordination.
