23 September 2014: A new global indicator to measure women's dietary diversity was endorsed at a FANTA and FAO meeting in July. The indicator can be generated from surveys and provides a new tool for assessment, target-setting, and advocacy.

29 September 2014: Imperial College London's Partnership for child Development launches a new 'School meals planner' to help plan nutritionally balanced and costed school meals using locally available food, trialed in Ghana and now available to all.
29 September 2014: Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) now offers 15 distance learning programs for postgraduate diploma and certificate awards in subjects including public health nutrition, health promotion and epidemiology.

23 September 2014: The eNutrition Academy (eNA) provides online courses in nutrition free of charge via Camberidge University Press e-learning platform. The first course available is 'Assessment of Dietary Intake for Individuals'. More are to follow.
