Capacity Development
The ENN produces two regular publications, Field Exchange and Nutrition Exchange, that contribute to the capacity development of authors to reflect, write and learn from their experiences.
In the past, the ENN has partnered with UN agencies, NGOs and academic institutions to create training programmes and tools that aim to build the capacity of individuals involved in different aspects of nutrition in emergencies. These include e-learning materials and other resources that can be used in a variety of different contexts by nutrition and health professionals, relief workers and others involved in emergency nutrition and food security. Resources developed to date are:
- NutVal version 4
- Harmonised Training Package (HTP) version 2
- Nutrition in Emergencies (NiE) Regional Training Initiative
- Nutrition in Emergencies (NiE) In-service and pre-service training
- UNICEF basic concepts on Nutrition in Emergencies e-learning
- Integration of IYCF into CMAM training
- Infant Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) orientation package
- Infant feeding in emergencies (IYCF-E) e-learning (currently being updated by UNICEF)
- Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) Module 2
