Donor: UNHCR
Collaborators: The ENN/ IGH
ENN Project lead: Carmel Dolan
Timeframe: 2013
Background
Between 2010 and 2013, the ENN in partnership with the UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) provided a package of technical assistance to UNHCR, in support of the High Commissioner’s Special Project on the prevention, control and reduction of anaemia in refugees.
Project summary
The UNHCR standardised nutrition survey guidelines, or more commonly called the SENS guidelines, is the outcome of a collaboration between UNHCR's Public Health and HIV Section and expert organisations and individuals in the fields of nutrition, public health, food security, water sanitation and hygiene, and malaria prevention. Between 2010 and 2012, the ENN and UCL Institute of Global Health (IGH) collaborated with UNHCR to develop the concept and content and field test the SENS guidelines modules.
