Summary

A 2 day meeting held in Oxford, UK,  1-2 November, 2006, held by the IFE Core Group and organised by the ENN, The aim of the meeting was to identify key constraints to supporting and protecting appropriate infant feeding practices in emergencies, and to develop strategy directions and practical steps to address them. It was attended by 58 international delegates including representation from Indonesia, Lebanon, Kenya, Mexico and India. Funding to implement recommended action points agreed at the meeting was subsequently secured from the Global Nutrition Cluster in 2007.
