Navigating Data Series

Author: Philip T. James, Stephanie V. Wrottesley and Eilise Brennan
Year: 2022
Resource type: Presentation

A warm welcome to ENN’s navigating data quality series. We have developed a series of bite-size presentations to help nutrition practitioners and policymakers get to grips with nutrition data.

In this series we discuss three related topics which provide an overview of some important considerations when interpreting nutrition data, including survey and coverage data. Each presentation is 15-20 minutes long. In the following links you can access the presentation video along with transcripts in both English and French.

  1. Basics of nutrition survey interpretation (Eilise Brennan)
  2. Importance of understanding seasonality and its impact on nutrition data (Philip James)
  3. Unpacking global estimates of severe acute malnutrition (SAM) treatment coverage (Stephanie Wrottesley)

This is the first time ENN has produced this type of learning output. We would very much value your feedback so that we can understand how useful these presentations were, what we can improve on, and any other topics you recommend that we cover. After you have listened to these presentations, please answer this quick survey (<2 minutes) to help inform the development of similar content in the future.
